Commercial Lines Account Manager

At Legacy Risk, our business continues to grow and we are seeking to add an experienced P&C Account Manager to join our Commercial Lines brokerage team.

Our highly skilled Account Managers build strong professional relationships with Legacy Risk clients that result in a high level of business retention. These relationships are built on a solid foundation of trust and confidence in our knowledge and expertise. You will assist producers with both new and renewal business, successfully providing technical advice to handle coverage issues and needs, and conduct exposure analysis for our clients. We are interested in finding a person who shares our values and dedication to customer service.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, professional certification or equivalent training and education. The successful candidate must have exceptional depth and breadth of experience working primarily with medium to large size commercial accounts and possess a minimum of five to seven years insurance agency experience in an account management role. Experience managing commercial real estate accounts is preferred. A demonstrated ability to understand policies, coverages, forms, accounting methods, ratings, claims procedures and have an excellent rapport with both the underwriters and insureds is essential. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.

Applied agency system experience is highly desirable. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel and Outlook. Proven ability to meet deadlines and possess strong analytical and organizational skills. A California insurance license is essential. Professional designations such as CIC, CISR, CPCU, ARM or CRM preferred.

Commercial Lines Assistant

Legacy Risk continues to grow and we have an immediate full-time opening for a Commercial Lines Assistant that will be responsible for providing technical and administrative support to our Account Managers and Producers. This is a great entry-level opportunity for individuals who want to pursue a career in insurance.

Primary responsibilities encompass servicing a designated group of clients in tandem with the account managers which includes the review and issuance of Certificates of Insurance in accordance with our brokerage procedures. This position will also provide support with the preparation of renewal applications, proposals, and summaries. In addition, the assistant enters policy and client information into the Agency Management System, processes change requests, and verifies the accuracy of endorsements and premium audits. The individual will also prepare and distribute Auto ID cards, order loss runs and conduct initial policy checking. Legacy Risk is a paperless environment using the EPIC (APPLIED) agency management system.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook is required. A California P&C insurance license is preferred. If not currently licensed, a P&C license must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Legacy will cover the cost of required licensing courses and fees.

Commercial Lines Junior Account Manager

At Legacy Risk, our business continues to grow and we are seeking to add a Junior Account Manager to join our Commercial Lines brokerage team. This position will manage a small to moderate size book of accounts handling renewals and some new business while managing all support responsibilities (certificates of insurance, endorsements, MVRs, etc.) for assigned commercial clients. In this position, the Junior Account Manager will shadow and learn from more senior insurance professionals in order to develop their account management expertise.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, professional certification or equivalent training and education. The successful candidate must possess a minimum of three to four years insurance agency experience in an assistant account management or equivalent role. A demonstrated ability to learn and understand policies, coverages, forms, accounting methods, ratings, claims procedures and have an excellent rapport with both the underwriters and insureds is essential. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required. Applied (EPIC) agency system experience is highly desirable. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel and Outlook. Proven ability to meet deadlines and possess strong analytical and organizational skills. A California Property & Casualty insurance license is essential. A professional designation such as CIC, CISR, CPCU, ARM or CRM, or completion of courses toward achieving a designation, is preferred.

Personal Lines Assistant

We have an immediate need to add a full-time Personal Lines Assistant that will be responsible for providing technical and administrative support to our Private Client Services Group. This is a great entry-level opportunity for individuals who want to pursue a career in insurance.

The primary role of this position is to provide exceptional service to a designated group of clients in tandem with our Personal Lines Private Client Advisor. Responsibilities include ensuring timely responses to customer requests for information and documents; providing support with the preparation of proposals and summaries; inputting client information including cancellations, reinstatements and activities into the agency management system; completing, scanning and attaching supporting documents or other files. In addition, the assistant will utilize an online rating system, prepare applications for new and renewal business, respond to billing inquires, complete daily downloads, run flood zone determinations, request MVRs and assist with other tasks as assigned.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook is required. A California P&C insurance license is preferred.
